Privacy Policy
Summary: Link Vault captures webpage links only when you explicitly press Alt+A or use the save dialog. We do not track your browsing history, run analytics pixels, or sell user data. All bookmarks are saved to your local device and optionally synced to your private Google Firebase account.
1. Who We Are
Link Vault ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent productivity suite composed of the Link Vault Chrome Extension and the companion web application at https://link-vault-8e7ad.web.app.
2. What Data We Collect and Why
We only collect data strictly necessary to capture and organize your saved links:

3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not track browsing history or log which pages you visit
- We do not monitor keystrokes or background network traffic
- We do not sell or transfer user data to data brokers or advertisers
- We do not inject third-party ads or affiliate tracking codes
4. Cloud Storage & Encryption
Link Vault saves all data locally in sandboxed chrome.storage.local on your device. When signed in, links are synced over HTTPS/TLS to Google Cloud Firestore (project link-vault-8e7ad). Security rules enforce strict document-level tenancy: each user can only read and write their own bookmarks.
5. Your Rights
You retain 100% ownership of your data. You may export your entire collection at any time in standard Netscape HTML format, delete individual links, or delete your account to purge all associated cloud records.
