Terms of Service
Summary: By using Link Vault, you agree to personal, lawful usage. You own all links, tags, and annotations you save. Link Vault is provided as-is without warranties. We do not sell your bookmarks or profile your browsing activity.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Link Vault Chrome Extension and the web portal hosted at https://link-vault-8e7ad.web.app (the "Service"). By installing the extension or using the portal, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Product Description & Usage
Link Vault is a high-speed personal bookmarking and link organization workspace. It provides keyboard-driven captures (Alt+A, Alt+Shift+A), heuristic categorization, and multi-device cloud synchronization via Firebase.
3. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership
Your Data: You retain complete ownership and intellectual property rights over all URLs, personal notes, custom categories, and tags saved into your vault.
Our Service: The Link Vault brand, logo, extension codebase, user interface designs, and documentation are proprietary assets owned by Link Vault.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use Link Vault to:
- Store links to unlawful or malicious content
- Attempt to decompile, bypass security rules, or disrupt service servers
- Use automated scrapers against other users' private vaults
5. Limitation of Liability
Link Vault is provided "as is" and "as available." While we employ resilient local caching and cloud backups, we are not liable for lost bookmarks resulting from browser storage clearance or third-party outages. We recommend using the built-in Netscape HTML Export feature for periodic backups.
6. Termination
You may discontinue using Link Vault at any time by uninstalling the extension or deleting your account from the dashboard, which permanently purges your cloud database records.
